Dear all,

we would like to invite you to the 14th Empowerment Day of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung. It will take place on Tuesday, November 17th, 2026 and focus on the topic Your choice, your future! – Shaping your scientific career. The event will take place in English from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung, Kriegsbergstraße 42, 70174 Stuttgart.

This event offers a dedicated space to reflect on career aspirations, strengthening decision-making skills, and to engage in meaningful dialogue with peers at similar career stages.

The Empowerment Day brings together female early-career researchers from all over Baden-Württemberg. Take this opportunity to meet female researchers from other institutions, discuss the joys, challenges, and questions of your daily research lives and your future career paths, and learn from one another.

In addition, you can take part in one of four workshops, all based on the day's motto:

• Making decisions in the German research and innovation system: Get an overview of the German research and innovation landscape and the key professional competencies so that you can make further career decisions in an informed and well-founded manner.
• Career planning and decisions in academia: Take a close look at the academic career portfolio if you wish to pursue a career in academia. Analyze what you have already achieved, and determine the next strategic steps.
• Communication of decisions: Learn and practice how to express your own position with confidence, communicate complex decisions clearly and persuasively, and handle objections and challenging conversations constructively.
• Embrace your mistakes: Explore how you can turn mistakes and poor decisions into opportunities for learning and growth.

The link to further information and the binding registration can be found here. Participation is free of charge; the number of places is limited.

Only female students, doctoral students and postdocs at universities in Baden-Württemberg and non-profit, non-university research institutions based in Baden-Württemberg are eligible to register. All individuals who identify as women are warmly invited.

Please forward this information to colleagues who may be interested. We are looking forward to the Empowerment Day with you!

Kind regards
